This cable chain is made in 14K yellow gold. Cable chain is the classic oval-link chain, each link turned at right angles to the next; it is the natural choice for a pendant. At 2.2 mm it is an everyday width that works alone or layered with others. It is made in a reduced-weight construction, lighter than a fully solid piece of the same width. Available in 18″, 20″, 24″. As a guide, at 18″ it falls just below the collarbone; at 20″ it lands on the upper chest; at 24″ it sits lower on the chest and over clothing.
At 14K, the metal is 58.5% pure gold: warm in colour, hard enough for everyday wear, and it will not tarnish. It works on its own or as the base of a layered set.
