Overview
Peelerie.com is operated by Peelerie LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company with its business address at 15 W 47th St., New York, NY 10036, USA (“Peelerie”, “we”, “us” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of peelerie.com and to every purchase you make from us, together with our Refund Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy, which form part of these Terms.
By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website. Our online store runs on WordPress and WooCommerce.
1. Using our website
You must be at least the age of majority where you live to place an order, or have the consent of a parent or guardian where the law allows. You may not use our website or products for any unlawful purpose, and you must not transmit malicious code or try to gain unauthorized access to our website or systems. We may suspend access to the website where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention or legal compliance.
2. Accuracy of information
We take care to make the information on peelerie.com accurate and complete, but descriptions, prices, availability and images may occasionally contain errors. We may correct errors and update information at any time. If a correction materially affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you before going ahead, and you may cancel for a full refund.
3. Our products
Peelerie sells fine jewelry in gold (10K, 14K and 18K) and sterling silver, including jewelry set with lab-grown diamonds and other stones. All diamonds sold by Peelerie are lab-grown. Each product page states the specifications that apply to that piece, such as metal and purity, construction, approximate weight, stones and dimensions; please review them before you buy.
We make every effort to show colors, finishes and details accurately, but appearance can vary with screen settings and lighting. Gold weights are approximate and can vary slightly with ring size, chain length and manufacturing tolerances. Diamond carat weights are total weights stated to the nearest standard fraction and fall within the ranges shown in our FAQ. If a product is materially different from its description, your rights under our Refund Policy and the law are unaffected.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars. The price that applies is the one shown when you place your order, except for obvious pricing errors, which we will correct as described in section 2. Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your delivery address, as required by law.
Payment is taken through WooPayments, powered by Stripe, using the payment methods shown at checkout: credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and payment over time with Affirm or Klarna. Pay-over-time plans are offered and approved by those providers under their own terms; Peelerie is not the lender. Orders are subject to payment authorization and fraud screening. We will never ask you to send a full card number or security code by email.
5. Order verification for orders of $1,000 or more
To protect you and us against card fraud, every order totaling $1,000 or more is verified before it is dispatched. Orders paid over time with Affirm or Klarna are not included, because those providers verify the buyer themselves. After you order, we will email you a private link to our secure verification form and ask you to provide:
- a photo of a valid government-issued photo ID in the cardholder’s name; and
- a photo of the payment card used, showing only the cardholder name and the last four digits; and
- your confirmation that you are the cardholder or are authorized to use the card.
The details of the process are on our Order Verification page, and our Privacy Policy explains how we protect and delete this information. If verification is not completed within 7 days of our request, or the information does not match the order, we will cancel the order and refund the full amount paid. Dispatch times are counted from the date verification is complete.
6. Orders
Placing an order is an offer to buy. Our automated confirmation email confirms that we have received your order; a contract is formed when we dispatch your order or otherwise confirm acceptance. We may decline or cancel an order, for example because of suspected fraud, failed verification, a pricing or stock error, or a legal restriction. If we cancel an order after payment, we refund the full amount paid.
7. Shipping and delivery
We currently deliver only within the United States. Orders are dispatched within 7 business days, and every shipment is insured for its full value. Standard shipping is free on orders of $70 or more and costs $4 below $70; Express costs $15. Full details are in our Shipping Policy. Delivery dates are estimates unless we expressly guarantee a date in writing. The risk of loss passes to you when the parcel is delivered.
8. Returns, refunds and cancellations
You may return eligible items within 14 days of delivery, as set out in our Refund Policy. You arrange and pay for return shipping, and every return is inspected against our records of the item we sent, as set out in that policy. Statutory rights, including rights for defective or misdescribed goods, are not affected by any limit on voluntary returns. To arrange a return or cancellation, email hello@peelerie.com.
9. Limited warranty
Peelerie jewelry carries a 3-month limited warranty from delivery against defects in materials and workmanship under normal wear, with the stone replacement limits and exclusions described in our Refund Policy. This warranty is in addition to, and does not limit, any implied warranties or other rights you have under the law of your state or country.
10. Reviews and submissions
If you submit a review, photo or other content, you confirm that it is your own honest opinion or work, that it is lawful, and that you have the right to share it. You give us permission to publish it on our website and social media, with your name or initials, without payment. We publish reviews whether positive or negative, and we may remove content that is unlawful, offensive, off-topic or infringes someone’s rights. We do not pay for reviews or offer incentives for positive ones.
11. Intellectual property
The content of peelerie.com, including product photography, text, graphics, logos and design, belongs to Peelerie or is used with permission. You may view and use it for personal shopping only. You may not copy, reproduce or commercially use it without our written permission, except as the law allows.
12. Third-party services and links
Our website uses third-party services, such as our payment processor and shipping carriers, and may link to other websites. Those services are subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for websites we do not control.
13. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information, including the information used to verify orders of $1,000 or more.
14. Website availability
We aim to keep peelerie.com available and working, but we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend or change the website for maintenance, security or updates.
15. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Peelerie is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from your use of the website. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing limits your rights as a consumer for defective or misdescribed goods or non-delivery.
16. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate Peelerie for third-party claims and reasonable costs arising directly from your unlawful use of the website or your material breach of these Terms. This does not apply where the claim results from our own fault, and it does not impose any obligation on a consumer that the law prohibits.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute may be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of any mandatory laws of the place where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts there where the law allows. Before starting any proceedings, please contact hello@peelerie.com so we can try to resolve the matter directly.
18. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found unlawful or unenforceable, it applies to the fullest extent permitted, and the rest of the Terms stay in effect.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our business or the law. The version published on peelerie.com when you place an order applies to that order. Changes never remove rights you have already gained.
