This Figaro chain is made in 14K white gold. A Figaro chain alternates short flat links with one longer link, a rhythm that originated in Italy. At 4.5 mm it has presence on its own and does not need a pendant. Its construction is solid, meaning gold all the way through each link rather than a hollow tube, so it keeps its shape and can be repaired. Available in 18″, 20″, 22″, 24″. As a guide, at 18″ it falls just below the collarbone; at 20″ it lands on the upper chest; at 22″ it rests mid-chest.
14K gold is 58.5% pure gold. It keeps a rich colour while staying hard enough for daily wear, and it does not tarnish. It works on its own or as the base of a layered set.
