Toe rings in gold and sterling silver.
Toe Rings
Gold toe rings, explained
A toe ring is a small band worn on the second toe, the one beside the big toe, where it sits flat and stays put while you walk. Most of ours are in 14K yellow, white or two-tone gold, which will not tarnish, is far less likely than base metals to mark the skin, and can be worn in the shower or the sea. A few are in sterling silver for a lighter, more affordable piece.
How to choose a toe ring
Open toe rings have a small gap, so they can be eased wider or narrower to fit and slipped on without forcing over the knuckle. Closed bands look cleaner but need the right size, so measure first. Plain polished bands suit every day; a heart or a line of stones reads as a small piece of jewelry rather than an accessory. Because a toe ring takes more knocks than a finger ring, solid gold is the material that lasts.
Which toe do you wear a toe ring on?
Usually the second toe, next to the big toe. It sits flat there and is least likely to slip.
Can you wear a gold toe ring in water?
Yes. 14K gold does not rust or tarnish in water. Rinse off salt water and sunscreen to keep the shine.
How should a toe ring fit?
Snug enough not to slide off when you walk, loose enough to leave no mark. If it pinches by the end of the day, go a size up or choose an open design.
