Maintenance Protocol
Care, kept
simple.
Good care rests on three habits: preventing damage, cleaning gently, and storing pieces apart.

Prevention
Put jewelry on last, after lotion, perfume and hairspray, and take it off first. Remove it for swimming, cleaning, the gym and heavy work. Chlorine and household chemicals are the most common causes of dull or damaged jewelry.

Cleaning
Gold and diamonds: soak for a few minutes in warm water with a little mild dish soap, then brush gently with a soft toothbrush, paying attention to the back of the setting where oils collect. Rinse and dry with a lint-free cloth.
Sterling silver: a silver polishing cloth removes tarnish. Avoid dips on pieces with stones, pearls or onyx.
Colored stones, onyx and pearls: a damp, soft cloth. No ultrasonic cleaners, steam or chemical dips.

Storage
Store pieces separately in soft pouches or a lined box, so harder stones cannot scratch softer metal and chains cannot tangle. Fasten chains before storing them. Keep silver in a closed pouch to slow tarnish.
Check the details
Every few months, check clasps for a firm close and press gently on stones to make sure none move. If a stone feels loose, stop wearing the piece and contact us.
Warranty
Every Peelerie piece carries a 3-month limited warranty from delivery against defects in materials and workmanship under normal wear. If a stone comes loose or is lost because of a fault in the setting within that time, we replace it free of charge. Email hello@peelerie.com with “Warranty” in the subject line before sending anything. The full terms are in our Refund Policy.

Insurance
Our warranty covers defects, not loss, theft or accidental damage. For those, we recommend insuring valuable pieces with an independent jewelry insurer, such as Jewelers Mutual, or through your home insurance. Keep your order confirmation and grading certificate; insurers will ask for them.
