This paperclip chain is made in 10K yellow gold. Paperclip links are long, flat rectangles, a modern shape that layers well with finer chains. At 4.2 mm it has presence on its own and does not need a pendant. It is made in a reduced-weight construction, lighter than a fully solid piece of the same width. Available in 18″, 24″. As a guide, at 18″ it falls just below the collarbone; at 24″ it sits lower on the chest and over clothing.
10K gold is 41.7% pure gold, alloyed with stronger metals, which makes it harder-wearing and more resistant to scratches than higher karats. It works on its own or as the base of a layered set.
