This Cuban chain is made in 14K yellow gold. Cuban links are heavy, interlocking curb links, flattened and polished so the chain lies close to the body. At 2.6 mm it has presence on its own and does not need a pendant. Its construction is solid, meaning gold all the way through each link rather than a hollow tube, so it keeps its shape and can be repaired. Available in 18″, 20″, 22″, 24″. As a guide, at 18″ it falls just below the collarbone; at 20″ it lands on the upper chest; at 22″ it rests mid-chest.
14K gold (58.5% gold) balances colour and durability, which is why it is the standard for fine jewelry worn daily; it does not tarnish. It works on its own or as the base of a layered set.
