This Figaro chain is made in 14K yellow gold. A Figaro chain alternates short flat links with one longer link, a rhythm that originated in Italy. At 3.7 mm it has presence on its own and does not need a pendant. It is made in a reduced-weight construction, lighter than a fully solid piece of the same width. Available in 18″, 20″, 24″. As a guide, at 18″ it falls just below the collarbone; at 20″ it lands on the upper chest; at 24″ it sits lower on the chest and over clothing.
14K gold is 58.5% pure gold. It keeps a rich colour while staying hard enough for daily wear, and it does not tarnish. Wear it alone, or layer it with a finer chain at a shorter length.
