This mariner chain is made in 10K yellow gold. Mariner links are ovals with a bar across the centre, a pattern taken from anchor chain. At 4.5 mm it has presence on its own and does not need a pendant. Available in 18″, 20″, 22″, 24″, 30″. As a guide, at 18″ it falls just below the collarbone; at 20″ it lands on the upper chest; at 22″ it rests mid-chest.
At 10K the metal is 41.7% gold; the higher share of alloy makes it harder and more scratch-resistant than 14K. Pair it with a pendant, or wear it plain at the collarbone.
