Our Commitment to You
As a premier retailer of diamond jewelry, we recognize the importance of setting an example in the industry. When you choose a diamond from Peelerie, you can trust that our jewelry is crafted with integrity, sourced from a supply chain held to the highest ethical standards.
Our parent company, Signet Jewelers, proudly holds the distinction of being a founding and certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC). This organization is dedicated to promoting ethical human rights, social responsibility, and environmentally sustainable practices throughout the entire jewelry supply chain. Our commitment to doing what’s right, even when not under scrutiny, includes the following principles:
Respect for Human Rights
We actively avoid actions that could directly or indirectly finance armed conflicts and human rights violations worldwide, including in regions like the Democratic Republic of Congo and its neighboring countries.
All our suppliers are obligated to adhere to Responsible Sourcing Protocols, ensuring that none of the gold (or tin, tungsten, or tantalum) we sell contributes to conflict anywhere globally. Our global suppliers must comply with these protocols, which are endorsed by leading international organizations.
Taking Responsibility Seriously
A responsible supply chain is fundamental to upholding the reputation of the jewelry industry. That’s why we are dedicated to environmental and social responsibility throughout our supply chain.
Our suppliers uphold the Fundamental Conventions of the International Labour Organization and the UN Declaration of Human Rights. We are at the forefront of engaging with civil society and governments through our involvement with the Responsible Jewellery Council.
Caring for Communities
At Peelerie, we actively support safe labor practices and strive to create thriving communities. One notable initiative we are proud to be a part of is our collaboration with the Diamond Development Initiative.
Recognizing that schools are often distant from mining communities, leading to potential gaps in formal education for children, our partnership with the DDI’s “Sending Schools to Kids” initiative aims to bring education to them. This initiative transports children from the mines to the classroom, providing uniforms, school materials, and daily meals.
Additionally, we contribute to Diamonds Do Good, a nonprofit organization working to enhance the lives of people in communities along the entire diamond supply chain. As a prominent figure in the international natural diamond industry, we take pride in our collaboration with this organization, funding educational programs that empower individuals in natural diamond communities.
This commitment reflects the diamond industry’s dedication to giving back to communities in diamond- and gem-producing countries worldwide.
